Beijing College of Finance and Commerce | Certificate Ⅳ in Training and Assessment Upgrade Program successfully started in Beijing!

To promote the exchange and cooperation with overseas counterparts,  enhance the openness of technical skills personnel training, improve the international vision and level of teachers, and build a strong, collaborative teacher team that meets the requirements of “Double High-level Plan”, Beijing College of Finance and Commerce (BCFC) cooperates with Melbourne Polytechnic (MP) and Australia Vocational Education Alliance (AVEA) jointly started Certificate Ⅳ in Training and Assessment Upgrade Program.

In 2016 BCFC had organized 70 teachers to participate in the Certificate Ⅳ in Training and Assessment Program and obtained TAE40110 certificates. This Upgrade Program was in the context of getting TAE40116 certificates, which was specially initiated by International Education Department of BCFC and Center for Development in order to renew teachers’ ability of curriculum design, teaching practice and evaluation.  It will last for four weeks and involve 25 teachers.

At 9 a.m. on 20th of July 2022, the TAE Upgrade Program opening ceremony was well held online. Mr. Xin Hongguang, vice secretary of party committee of BCFC, Ms. Wang Qi, head of Center for Development, Ms. Jiang Hong, Dean of International Education Department, Ms. Huang Rong, project specialist; Mr. Barry Guan, director of AVEA, Ms. Robyn Guo, Project director; Mr. Timothy Gilbert, vice president of MP, Ms. Tina Guan, Project director of MP, Mr. Greg Bambrook, TAE Trainer and the 25 teachers from BCFC all attended the ceremony.

It was hosted by Ms. Jiang Hong. Mr. Xin Hongguang delivered a speech. Xin said as a unit of “Double High-level Plan”, the college attached great importance to improve teachers’ international literacy and professional ability. He Pointed out that the purpose of choosing teachers to join this Upgrade Program is to help them keep up with the international industry development, empower their training and assessment ability, and make greater contribution to build “Double High-level Plan” with Chinese features.

Certificate Ⅳ in Training and Assessment is the most basic and popular certificate in vocational education in Australia. It is also a benchmark for evaluating trainers and appraisers of vocational education. Via this program it improves teaching method and innovate the assessment approach of teachers, which helps to build a high qualified teacher workforce. Meanwhile it promotes curriculum construction of several majors as well as education reforms that are integrated with international standards and explores international talent training mode.
